Jim Torrens, M.A.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #147169
I have found a calling that allows me to bring my full self – head, heart, and soul – to my work.
I found this calling later in life, after a fulfilling career in social services. In addition to working as a teacher, program manager, policy advocate, and peer counselor, I have also married, raised a family, coached youth sports, and pursued interests in mindful self-care, creativity, and personal growth.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from Harvard University and my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute. My education, training, and experience have confirmed for me that what matters most in therapy is the client’s relationship with their therapist. I have incorporated a range of theories and techniques that I draw upon in response to my clients’ specific needs.
Please contact me to discuss how I can help you.
